Sarva Seva Samity Sanstha (4S) (http://www.sarvasevasamity.org/)was promoted under the guidance of Shri Vijay Mahajan (Founder of BASIX and Co-founder of PRADAN, Sa-Dhan, and the association of community development financial institutions in 1999 with Ela Bhatt of SEWA).

In order to fulfill the vision of the organization “Socially, environmentally and economically sustainable society with improved life of rural poor and vulnerable community, especially women, of unreached area”, 4S is committed towards promotion of Livelihoods of poor and marginalized community with special emphasize on Institutional development, Financial services, climate resilient agriculture and Agri-Value Chain Development (VCD). 4S recognizes that humanitarian support along with Health, Nutrition, Sanitation and Education Services are also important to have sustainable livelihoods for the poor. The organization also supports CSR and donor agencies in undertaking Baseline, Mid-line and End line study, scoping study, Landscape study, Feasibility study, Impact evaluation, etc.

With a wide range of professionals from Management, Fisheries, Agriculture, health, Engineering, Marketing, IT and Research background, 4S has reached to approximately 0.1 million HHs of 939 villages in 20 districts of Eastern India including West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha and UP.
